Christmas has come to Cocoa Kiss

It’s that time of the year again and we have a fantastic range of new products that are great for presents, or just a bit of solo indulging. New stock is joining us from brands such as:

New Products!

Cocoa Kiss has some seriously tasty new products available via our online chocolate store with lots of good stuff from the French!

Valrhona

  • Jivara 40% with Pecan pieces: amazingly moorish pieces of nuts mixed with this luscious, caramel milk chocolate loved by so many.
  • Guanaja 70% feves - now you're in the domain of high-end pastry chefs and chocolatiers, small discs of this wonderfully intense chocolate, they are technically for cooking but we say they're great for nibbling!
  • Cocoa Powder: your cooking will never be the same again, this is smooth, fine and mouth wateringly good. Great for baking but also makes fantastic choc-banana smoothies.  A little goes a long way!

And there is more coming.  Further Valrhona and Michel Cluizel expected this week - so watch this space.

Mazet Salted Caramel Easter Eggs - SOLD OUT

Just in time for Easter and a true chocolate indulgence, we are delighted to get our hands on some of these as they have almost sold out in Australia. Wrapped in innocuous orange foil, these eggs have a soft chocolate ganache centre with a toffee like caramel flavour and hints of salt that linger beautifully on the palate.

Mazet Gull Eggs - Arrived for Easter

Delectably special and delivered all the way from France in time for Easter - Mazet Gull Eggs.

These eggs are pure joy with a thin, crisp shell, flecked to mimic the speckled perfection of a gull's egg, and filled with a melt in your mouth chocolate hazelnut ganache. It almost seems a pity to break through the shell but really Easter doesn't get any better.  

But hurry - these only arrive on Australian shores at Easter time!

Venchi Chocolate - Now Available

Cocoa Kiss is now stocking a range of chocolates from boutique Italian producer, Venchi.

Being of northern Italian origin, Venchi offer up superb hazelnut and chocolate combinations in a way only the Piedmont region of Italy can master!

But be warned, initial tastings have gone down very well and you may become just a little addicted.  The Caramelised Nougatine seems to have particularly strong addictive qualities!

Chocolate & Running Recovery

We've all heard various stories - fact and fiction - about the health benefits of chocolate, but here's one that as a runner I'm particularly liking:

'A chocolate fix could stop muscles aching after a run.  Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) hits the day after a hard session.  Researchers gave runners a cocoa-based drink (with a 7:2 carbohydrate to protein ratio) and found they reported less soreness 24 to 48 hours after exercise.'
