A unique chocolate with magical flavours; a 64% chocolate made exclusively with the harvest from the Millot Estate in the north of Madagascar. The people of the region have grown cocoa for more than 200 years, continuing their work by preparing cocoa for Valrhona's Ampamakia in the traditional way.


Valrhona Gran Couva 2011 Vintage 75g - $11.50 (Trinidad) 
Another superb Valrhona estate-grown chocolate! A 64% chocolate made exclusively with the harvest from the Gran Couva Estate, on the Caribbean island of Trinidad. The finest Trinitarios beans are selected from the estate and combined with premium ingredients to produce a truly exceptional chocolate.

 

 

Valrhona El Pedregal 2011 Vintage 75g - $11.50 (Venezuela)
Porcelana, a Venezuelan white-beaned criollo bean is considered to be the ‘champagne’ of cacao varieties. Rare and often imitated – many a white-beaned cacao is incorrectly given the name, but not this one.  A very creamy dark chocolate with notes of dried fruits and honey. Perfectly balanced with slight acidity and great depth of flavour. Ends with a touch of liquorice and prune.

From the Island of Madagascar, Valrhona's Grand Cru Tanariva reveals an exceptional balance of acidulated flavors, softened by pronounced milky caramel notes. 33% Cocoa. Kosher-Dairy

A combination of the finest cocoa beans, whole milk, brown sugar and a touch of malt. Its characteristic, distinctive taste, with caramel, malt and vanilla notes, makes it an exceptional milk chocolate.  40% cocoa solids. Kosher-Dairy

Valrhona Abinao 70g - $10.25 (Africa)
This is a powerful 85% chocolate that is strong and lingering; as intense, dark and brooding as a French new wave film star. But don't be put off by the percentage because it features a smooth mouth feel matched with meaty hints of raw coconut that sharpen into lingering, oaky tannins.
