The last of the Italian traversing, culminating in what is perhaps the epicentre of Italian chocolate. Forget the birth place of the renaissance, this is the birth place of Amedei ; the charming town of Pisa. It exceeds expectations in charm, but where the hell is the chocolate...?

Day 14 – Florence – A chocolate renaissance…?

Florence may be full of renaissance splendor and artifacts, but quality chocolate is a little harder to come by than the cocoa centred Turin, possibly not a bad thing as this chocolate enthusiast has (almost) had a little too much of the sweet stuff lately. However this is still Italy and if there isn't chocolate there is still great gelato! Not to mention an abundance of other wonderful food to enjoy, and as always a few chocolate finds.

Day 1 - Frankfurt - Success at Bitter Zart

Successful chocolate shopping in Frankfurt having stumbled across Bitter Zart and left with treats from Venchi and Erich Hamann.

I also left thrilled with the potential of the wonderful European chocolate ahead of me (not to mention mentally trying to calculate how much I need to run to burn it all off!)
